Preparing your application
Step 1: Open Information Sheet / Checklist of the program of your choice.
→ Read and Review: Application Period dates, Admission documents & Enrollment documents.
Step 2: (For international students) Apply for a VPD at UNI-assist: As an international degree seeking student you must apply for a VPD at uni-assist to get your higher education entrance qualification checked. Apply to UNI-assist.
→ Note: this is an external organization, independent to TH Rosenheim. We cannot influence or accelerate their processes.
Step 3: Register online in the Application Portal (we do not process applications sent by e-mail or post).
→ Fill in Registration Form in the Application Portal, review your “Welcome e-mail” and remember your user data.

Step 5: Wait patiently to get all your applications reviewed by the student office. (2-5 weeks)
Step 6: Regularly review the application portal to check the status of your applications.
- Did you get temporarily excluded?
→ Please upload the requested documents in the application portal. - Did you get an admission offer?
→ You can download your admission letter from the portal
(The admission letter is the official legal document that guarantees you a study place at TH Rosenheim, and the only document you need from us for your VISA) - Did you apply to several programs and some statuses are not updated?
→ You can upload any missing documents and wait to get all the applications reviewed to make your final decision.

Enrolment
Step 9: Don't forget: you have to request for enrolment in the application portal. Once you request for enrolment you will receive an email with the next steps (bank account, directives, etc.). This process includes additional document submission, paying fees, and a digital M10 reporting (health insurance), among others.
Also remember that you will have to contact the German Public Health Insurance provider regarding the needed digital M10 reporting. Only after that the M10 is transferred by the provider to TH Rosenheim.
Step 10: Wait patiently for the Student Administration to review your enrolment documents. (2-5 weeks)
Step 11: Once the system gets notified that the M10 is approved, the Student Office can move forward with your enrolment. The M10 is transferred digitally to the TH Rosenheim only after you contacted a public health insurance provider in Germany.

You will get your Student Data online, and you will have to pick up your Student Card + Welcome Folder during the first weeks of the semester at the Student Administration Office B.136 (Burghausen & Traunstein students must pick it up in the respective campuses). - Do you live in Germany?

- Did your Admission Portal got erased?
→ Due to data protection laws, all application portals get erased at the beginning of each new semester. But you can still get a late enrollment. - For late enrolments:
→ If you got accepted and the semester already started you can still get enroled. But in that case, you will have to come personally to get your enrollment documents at the Student Administration.
→ You also must contact the faculty regarding online classes that you could attend until your arrival. Email addresses can be found on individual faculty pages. - Late admissions:
→ You got admitted in the past, but it was not possible for you to come to Germany and want to use the admission in an upcoming semester? Unfortunately, it is not possible to accept an admission of a previous semester. You can only get enrolled to the semester specified in the admission letter. Therefore, you must apply again for the new semester.
