Application for a degree programme: step by step explained

• Inform yourself about the requirements for admission to the degree programme on the relevant programme page.
• Please read the checklist carefully and make sure that the documents required for the application are complete. 
• Please note the respective submission deadlines specified in the checklist.

Checklists of all degree programmes

• Register in the online application portal of TH Rosenheim (we do not process applications sent by e-mail or post). Fill out the registration form in the application portal, check your ‘welcome e-mail’ and save your user data.
• If you would like to apply for the Bachelor's degree programme Applied Psychology at Campus Mühldorf am Inn, you must first apply to hochschulstart.de, as a local selection procedure is carried out for this degree programme.

• Once you have registered in the online application portal, upload in the portal all the documents you need for your chosen degree programme
• If you are taking up a dual study programme, please submit your educational contract for the combined study programme or study programme with intensive in-company training with your application.
• If your name has changed, we also need proof of the name change (e.g. marriage certificate).
• If certain documents are not yet available, you can also upload them at a later date. The latest deadline for uploading missing documents is 31 August (for the start of studies in October) or 15 February (for the start of studies in March). Your application can only be processed and checked once your application documents are complete. 

• The student adiminstration will check your application. Please note that the final review of your application may take several weeks.
• If you fulfil the admission requirements and your documents are complete, you will receive your letter of admission to study at Rosenheim Technical University of Applied Sciences.
• Applications for degree programmes with restricted admission can only be decided after the selection and aptitude procedures have been carried out. You will need to be a little more patient here.

Please log in to the application portal regularly to check the status of your application.

• Is the status ‘Study place reserved’ displayed?
  → Please note that this is not yet a final acceptance for a study place. The status only indicates that documents are still missing for the final examination of the application. If an aptitude test takes place, the result of this is decisive for admission to the degree programme.
• Have you received an offer for admission?​​​​​​​
  → Then you can download your letter of admission directly from the portal. The letter of admission is also sufficient for applying for any necessary visa and for applying for a place in a hall of residence at the Munich-Upper Bavaria Student Union.
• Have you applied for several degree programmes and one or the other status has not yet been updated? ​​​​​​​
  → Then upload any missing documents. Wait until all applications have been checked and then make your final decision on which degree programme you would like to enrol on.

• Have you received an offer of admission to your degree programme? Congratulations! Don't forget to accept the offer of admission and enrol.

• Request your enrolment in the application portal to officially enrol at TH Rosenheim.
• You will need to upload any missing documents, such as proof of health insurance (M10 certificate) or proof of payment of the student union fee.
• Further information on enrolment can be found in the letter of admission.

• Once you have uploaded all the documents required for enrolment and the student administration has checked them, your enrolment is complete.
• If you have provided an address in Germany, you will receive your student documents, your student ID and further information about the start of your studies by post.
• If you have provided an address abroad, you will receive your student documents online. However, you must collect your student ID and other documents in person from your campus in the first few weeks of the semester.

You are applying for studies with intensive in-company training and will not be starting your studies at TH Rosenheim until the following winter semester?

• Please note that in this case only steps 1 - 6 of the application for a study place are relevant for you.
• In this case, please do not accept the study place via the online application portal. This means that the application procedure ends for you upon receipt of the letter of admission. You will not be enrolled at the TH Rosenheim at this point. 
• Apply again next year with all your documents and upload a copy of the admission letter from the previous year. You are then guaranteed readmission, provided the admission requirements do not change.

• Find out about the admission requirements for the degree programme you would like to study with us. You can find this information on the degree programme page or in the checklist for application and admission.

• Carefully read the checklist for application to find out which documents TH Rosenheim requires for your degree programme application.
• If your name has changed, please provide proof of the change (e.g. marriage certificate).

• Different application deadlines apply to each degree programme. Find out when the deadline for your chosen programme ends. This information can be found on the programme’s website or in the overview of the application deadlines.

• If you have not obtained your higher education entrance qualification in Germany, you apply for a degree programme at TH Rosenheim through uni-assist.

• Please check with uni-assist in advance for the individual steps required for your application. Should you have any questions regarding your application, please contact uni-assist directly.
• Apply for your chosen degree programme as early as possible.
• All documents required for the application for a degree programme at TH Rosenheim (e.g. certificates, language certificates) must be submitted to uni-assist.
• Please be aware that processing fees apply for the processing and verification of your application via uni-assist. These fees are to be paid directly to uni-assist.
• You can apply for multiple degree programmes at TH Rosenheim via uni-assist.

• Check the status of your application with uni-assist after approx. 4 - 6 weeks. You will also receive the result of your application check by e-mail from uni-assist.
• Read the result of the examination carefully. If any documents are still missing, please submit them to uni-assist within the application deadline. 
• After a positive assessment, uni-assist will automatically forward your application to TH Rosenheim.

• TH Rosenheim will receive your application directly from uni-assist, review it, and make a final decision regarding your admission to the programme.
• After your application has been reviewed by uni-assist, you will receive an email from us with access details to the TH Rosenheim online application portal. 
  Please log in to the portal and complete your application.
• Was your application successful? If so, you will receive an offer of admission from TH Rosenheim.
• You can download your letter of admission directly from the TH Rosenheim online application portal. The letter of admission will also be sufficient for applying for a visa and for securing accommodation at the Munich-Upper Bavaria Student Union.

• Please remember to accept the offer of admission. To do this, you must enrol at TH Rosenheim via the online application portal.

• Request your enrolment in the application portal to officially enrol at TH Rosenheim.
• You will need to upload any missing documents, such as proof of health insurance (M10 certificate) or proof of payment of the student union fee.
• Further information on enrolment can be found in the letter of admission.

• Once you have uploaded all the documents required for enrolment and the student administration has checked them, your enrolment is complete.
• If you have provided an address in Germany, you will receive your student documents, your student ID and further information about the start of your studies by post.
