• you have completed the first year of your studies
• you are studying at the partner university for three to twelve months
• there is a free Erasmus+ place at the partner university
• you still have at least one subject/module open for recognition at TH Rosenheim; ideally, you should take courses/modules amounting to 20-30 ECTS at the partner university and have them credited at TH Rosenheim after your return.

You can be funded by Erasmus+ for a maximum of 12 months during your Bachelor's and Master's studies at TH Rosenheim – whether for studies, internships, or your thesis (e.g., as part of a voluntary internship). The funding amounts to a maximum of four Erasmus+ monthly rates each time.

These are the Erasmus+ funding rates for a semester abroad in one of the 32 programme countries.

Important: The minimum funding period for studying abroad is 90 days (1 month = 30 days) and the maximum funding period is four months.

If you belong to the group of students with fewer opportunities, the social top-up will be paid out in addition to the basic funding amount.

Important: The social top-up grant can only be awarded once, even if several criteria are met. We will explain the exact criteria to you during the application process or in a consulting conversation.

Starting in the 2026 summer semester, students will receive a one-time distance-based travel allowance in addition to the funding rates outlined above. The distance between Rosenheim and the city of the host university will be determined using the EU distance calculator.

The following flat rates will be paid depending on the distance:

10-99 km: EUR 28
100-499 km: EUR 211
500-1999 km: EUR 309
2000-2999 km: EUR 395
