Sales professionals have known it for long: success in sales and marketing depends on what you actually do. And this is something that the budding sales professionals at Rosenheim Technical University of Applied Sciences, who choose the specialisation module "Sales and Export Management" on the Business Administration degree programme, also learn.
Module leader Prof Dr Eckhard Lachmann has once again invited several sales professionals to the university this semester to discuss current topics with the students in a practice-oriented manner: Entrepreneur and investor Matthias Thurner reported on strategies for winning new customers for start-ups, sales manager Alexander Ringler from ADLER-Lacke presented the special features of vertical sales cooperation with specialist retailers and product manager Sonja Epp from Salus gave a vivid presentation on the importance of a brand launch for international sales success. In this way, the students experienced first-hand what is currently happening in sales practice.
The students are also prepared for the strategies and framework conditions for working in sales. They learn the special features of industrial goods sales from marketing expert Prof. Dr Markus Beinert, the design of export strategies from manager Christine Heitmann, the legal framework from lawyer Georg Uphoff, the creation of concepts for exports to Asia with ambassador Dr Günther Gruber and finally general sales and export basics with Prof. Dr Eckhard Lachmann.
At the end of the semester, the participants agreed: "We are well prepared for future sales activities - now it's all about doing!"
