The Faculty of Business Administration at Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences bid farewell to this year's graduates in a festive setting on 25 June 2025. The focus of the event was not only the ceremonial presentation of the Bachelor's and Master's certificates, but above all the appreciation of the shared experiences of the past years of study.
Dean Prof. Dr Stephan Hornig welcomed the guests and emphasised the special significance of this moment in his speech: ‘You have chosen this degree programme, you have persevered - you have made it.’ He particularly emphasised that the graduation of the first international students on the Master's degree course in International Management was a visible sign of the internationalisation practised at the faculty. Personal responsibility, critical thinking and lifelong learning are enormously valuable skills for the future professional and social role of graduates, he said. He encouraged them to follow their own path, even if it does not always follow the mainstream: ‘Don't be smooth and streamlined, but independent, confident and sometimes uncomfortable.’
Later in the ceremony, the students themselves also contributed to the programme and gave personal insights into their time at the university: Andreas Schlosser, spokesperson for the Bachelor graduates, recalled the positive aspects of their studies and took a look into the future: "Nobody really knows exactly what will happen with AI in 10, 15 or 20 years' time. Perhaps we will simply be working with AI on a daily basis as co-workers. That's why I think the most important thing that TH Rosenheim has given us is the ability to work in teams, the curiosity for daily, lifelong learning, the ability to react competently and flexibly to external influences and to change regularly, just as the world changes regularly." Emma Graupner, representing the Master's students, also took an emotional look back: "Joy, tears, sweat. New friendships and broken friendships. Yes, it really was all there."
After the ceremonial awarding of certificates by the programme directors Prof. Dr Stephan Hornig (Bachelor) and Prof. Dr Bettina Schiessler (Master), the guests took the opportunity for group photos, lively discussions and a convivial drink in the foyer. They not only toasted to the past years, but also to the promising future of the new alumni. Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences wishes all graduates of the Faculty of Business Administration all the best for their personal and professional future - and looks forward to seeing them again, perhaps soon in the Master's programme or as alumni of the university.
