The Plastics Engineering course goes beyond the bounds of the material itself to consider efficient construction methods, continuous research and further development in this field. From environmentally-friendly and marketable plastics though to the optimisation of processing equipment, plastics engineering is shaping our future.

  • Final qualification: Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.)
  • Duration: 7 semesters (6 theoretical semesters and 1 practical semester)
  • Dual education: academic studies “with advanced work experience” and combined studies are possible. More information on the dual education mode
  • Information on preparatory work experience, that usually needs to be completed before starting this degree programme.

Course content

In addition to the physical, chemical and mechanical characteristics of the material, the Plastics Engineering course deals with specific processing technologies and areas of application. Construction and product design also play an important role.
