Faculty of Applied Health and Social Science

The faculty is a network partner for companies in the healthcare industry and a competence center for applied research. The faculty's cooperation partners include companies and institutions from various sectors of the healthcare industry, such as health insurance companies, clinics and medical technology or pharmaceutical companies. In particular, the faculty works closely with companies in the implementation of various studies, practical projects or the provision of internships; the advisory board, which includes more than 40 companies in the healthcare industry, also serves this purpose.

The faculty combines the competences methods, management as well as medicine/therapy and would like to introduce further bachelor courses in the field of therapy and social sciences in the long term to complement the existing courses. The new master's program in health services research and management is designed to meet the growing demand for specialists and managers.

As a scientific faculty, it also covers research activities. The focus here is on market research, the networking of management, therapy sciences and medical technology, in which clients can actively participate. For example, an image study of clinics in the Rosenheim region was carried out as part of a market research project.

The Faculty of Applied Health and Social Sciences focuses on the needs of the students in order to enable a successful graduation and a speedy study. For this reason...

• all information about the study program, especially scripts, are made available electronically in the community provided for this purpose.
• students are encouraged to actively participate in the further development of the curriculum and to provide feedback, e.g. in the form of evaluations.
• Students have an average of 30 weeks of lectures and exams per year. The remaining time can be used freely, for example for dual studies, a voluntary internship or a stay abroad.
• we try to create a family atmosphere characterized by short distances, easy access to professors and lecturers, and the opportunity to give and receive direct feedback.
