About the degree programme
The new Bachelor’s degree programme in Engineering Pedagogy, with its specialisation in construction technology, is an engineering degree programme that also prepares students for further training as a teacher at vocational schools. Corresponding with the TH Rosenheim’s profile, the focus here is on wood as a sustainable material and its use in wood construction and interior engineering. After completing the Engineering Pedagogy degree programme, students can go on to study the Master's degree programme in Vocational Education (e.g. at the Technical University of Munich) and then enter work as a trainee teacher with the prospect of a career as a senior civil servant. Alternatively, a career in the construction industry is possible as a Bachelor of Engineering. The additional qualifications in the field of pedagogy and psychology are especially sought after.
I have always been interested in the subject of wood construction and that is why I completed an apprenticeship to become a carpenter. Even as a child, however, I could also see myself becoming a teacher one day. So why not combine the two? The Engineering Pedagogy degree programme does just that!
