Summer Break
The Career Center will be closed from 10 to 31 August. We will still be available on campus on 3 August.

CV Checks
Until mid-September, CV checks will temporarily take place online on Monday mornings. From 21 September, the regular Monday afternoon schedule will resume.

Individual Consultations
Individual consultation appointments can be requested again from September.

How can international students work and apply in Germany? This practical session provides a concise introduction to the German job market and application process. You will learn what employers expect from CVs and cover letters, receive practical application tips, and explore financing options, cultural norms, insurance requirements, and common pitfalls. You will also find out where to get further support during your studies and career planning.

In this two-hour workshop, organized in cooperation with the application experts from Die Bewerbungsschreiber, we will cover the most important fundamentals for creating your CV and cover letter when wanting to apply abroad:

• Which type of CV is right for your application?
• What should be included in a CV, and how should it be structured?
• How can I optimize my CV so that CV parsing tools can fully read and correctly interpret its content?
• How do I analyze a job advertisement?
• How is a modern cover letter structured?
• What is the purpose of each section?

Speed Dating: Companies × Students – Networking Evening

From 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 pm, you will have the opportunity to speak directly with representatives from various companies in the business and technology sectors. Meet six to eight companies in a series of short, personal conversations and learn more about working student positions, possible topics for your Master’s thesis, and career entry opportunities. Use this opportunity to make valuable contacts, get to know potential employers, and gain exciting insights into professional practice. Look forward to an engaging exchange in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

Over more than ten years, she led large teams and conducted numerous salary negotiations from both the employer's and the employee's perspective. Today, she is a salary negotiation expert who collaborates with more than 30 universities across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
