The pre-practice that accompanies your studies is part of your practical training. 
The pre-practice, which lasts at least 8 weeks, must be completed before you start your practical semester (5th semester). It is recommended that you complete a large part of it before you start your studies.

All FOS graduates and students who have completed vocational training, as well as dual students, are exempt from the pre-practice upon request.

During the basic studies, the scientific fundamentals necessary for an engineering degree in mathematics, physics, etc. are taught in an application-oriented manner.

Furthermore, you will already gain exciting insights into subject-specific topics such as energy potentials & energy transition or electrical plant engineering.

In addition to basic engineering principles, the third and fourth semesters mainly comprise subject-specific modules such as solar technology, wind and hydroelectric power plants, and a first individual elective subject.

The fifth semester gives you several months of insight into the professional world and provides you with the opportunity to gain experience by applying, expanding, and deepening the skills you have already acquired.

The practical phase also supports your personal orientation for future career planning and networking.
 

Starting in the fourth semester, you can apply the skills you have acquired during your studies in three practical modules, project work, and your bachelor's thesis at your practical partner. These achievements are credited and incorporated into your studies.

In addition, you will gain professional experience at the company. Your practical partner will issue you a job reference for this additional practical experience.

The program concludes with your bachelor's thesis. Students are free to choose the topic of their thesis and can complete it at a company or at Rosenheim Technical University.

With your engineering degree, you can enter the professional world directly or continue on to a master's program, e.g., the R&D master's or the WI master's at TH Rosenheim.
