Internship in Europe with Erasmus+

• Your internship takes place in an approved internship institution within the 33 programme countries
• Your primary residence is not in the destination country during the period of the internship
• Your internship lasts at least 60 days
• It is a full-time internship (full-time is defined according to the standard of the destination country)

for internships in the 

winter semester: July 1 of the same calendar year,

summer semester: February 1 of the same calendar year

Please complete and sign the application form electronically and send it together with the required documents by email to international@th-rosenheim.de.

Once received, your application will be checked for completeness. You will then receive anemail with the next steps and the documents that need to be submitted before your departure.

An application for funding can only be approved if, before the start of the mobility period, all required documents are fully completed and signed and submitted to the International Office, including the Learning Agreement and the Grant Agreement.

Application documents:

• Current certificate of enrollment (printout from the Online Service Center)
• Proof of primary residence (e.g. scan of the backside of your identity card)
• Internship contract: signed by you, your internship provider and the Internship Office of the TH Rosenheim

Further documents to be submitted:

• Before the stay: Learning Agreement, insurance declaration, Grant Agreement, short online language test
• After the stay: EU Survey, Learning Agreement (after the stay), internship certificate, experience report

During your Bachelor's and Master's studies at TH Rosenheim, you can receive Erasmus+ funding for a total of 12 months each study cycle – whether for studies, internships, and/or your thesis. Each stay is funded with a maximum of four Erasmus+ monthly allowances.

• Fairest possible relative distribution of funds among the various faculties
• Grade point average as well as foreign language skills, if applicable
• Priority funding for internships in a non-German speaking country

Tip: Your chances of receiving Erasmus+ funding from the TH Rosenheim for your internship abroad are very good!

Your internship salary or financial situation are not relevant for the Erasmus+ funding.

Important: The minimum funding period is 60 days and the maximum funding period is four months (one month = 30 days). 

At the beginning of your internship abroad, three monthly instalments will be paid out; after the end of the internship, the fourth instalment will be transferred.

These are the Erasmus+ funding rates for a traineeship abroad in one of the 33 programme countries.

If you belong to the group of students with fewer opportunities, the social top-up will be paid out in addition to the basic funding amount.

Important: The social top-up grant can only be awarded once, even if several criteria are met. We will explain the exact criteria to you during the application process or in a consulting conversation.

Starting in the 2026 summer semester, students will receive a one-time distance-based travel allowance in addition to the funding rates outlined above. The distance between Rosenheim and the city where the internship company is located will be determined using the EU distance calculator.

If green travel options are used (more than 50% of the journey by train, bus, or carpool), the Green Travel (GT) allowance will be paid out.

The following flat rates will be paid depending on distance/GT:

10-99 km: 28 EUR / 56 EUR
100-499 km: 211 EUR / 285 EUR
500-1999 km: 309 EUR / 417 EUR
2000-2999 km: 395 EUR / 535 EUR
