Maximilian Buck

Following the completion of his bachelor's degree, Maximilian Buck worked for several years at a manufacturer of industrial plants and machinery in Regensburg, Germany. In October 2023, he subsequently began a master's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management at Rosenheim Technical University of Applied Sciences. Alongside his studies, he worked as a research assistant on the research projects ONEforest and TransBIB.

In his master's thesis, entitled “Emission Reduction and Decarbonization in Selected Industrial Sectors: A Quantitative Analysis of CSRD Reports,” he investigated the strategies and progress of European corporations in achieving climate neutrality, in collaboration with a sustainability consultancy.

In his spare time, Maximilian Buck enjoys spending time in the mountains, climbing, cycling, and pursuing his passion for photography.

His research in the CE4NWS project focuses on analyzing market-related and material flow barriers, as well as the drivers of circular economy systems. In this context, he investigates the system dynamics modeling of the transformation from linear value chains to circular value creation and recycling networks.
