For this year’s closed-door conference, professors and staff from the Faculty of Business Administration gathered at Frauenwörth Monastery on Fraueninsel in Lake Chiemsee. Away from the campus, the unique setting provided a space for in-depth discussions, new perspectives and a shared vision for the further development of study programmes and teaching.
The focus was on current developments within the Faculty and the university as a whole. Topics discussed included the revision of the General Study and Examination Regulations, current issues relating to degree programmes, research and communication, and their implications for the Faculty. Another key focus was on how students can experience business administration content across degree programmes even more strongly as a coherent whole. Points of intersection between shared subject areas and the potential interplay of content were discussed.
Strategic topics for the future were also addressed. In addition to the further development of the alumni network, particular focus was placed on the opportunities and challenges posed by artificial intelligence in research and teaching. Through presentations and discussions, participants reflected on requirements, areas for action and necessary skills.
The closed-door meeting thus provided a valuable framework for sharing experiences, refining common goals and developing new ideas for future-oriented teaching at the Faculty of Business Administration at Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences.
