The Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) on the topic of Organisational Happiness was hosted by Rosenheim Technical University from 20 to 24 October 2025. A total of 17 students and two professors from four European partner universities – including three members of the DIVERSE European University Alliance – worked together with 14 Rosenheim students and two exchange students from Thailand on innovative concepts for greater satisfaction in organisations. Tatjana Erlewein, organiser of the BIP, is convinced of the added value of the BIP for students: ‘The opportunity to develop content and train important future skills at the same time is unique.’
In six intercultural teams, the participants each developed a Happiness Plan for six different companies. After an intensive week of data analysis, group work and team-building activities, the groups presented their results to a jury of professors from the partner universities and the Technical University of Applied Sciences Rosenheim. Jury member and co-organiser Prof. Dr. Carolin Fleischmann was enthusiastic: ‘Developing such creativity, analytical depth and practical solutions in just a few days is only possible in an international team that integrates a variety of perspectives!’ The winning group was particularly delighted to receive TH Rosenheim T-shirts as their prize.
In addition to the technical work, there was also plenty of fun to be had: during a joint excursion to the Speck Alm with snacks and a climb to the summit cross, the participants experienced Bavarian tradition up close and strengthened their international team spirit.
After five days of intensive collaboration, exciting discussions and many new friendships, all participants returned to their home countries with valuable experiences, intercultural impressions and new technical knowledge – and with smiles on their faces, in keeping with the programme's motto: Happiness starts with collaboration.
