From 9 to 11 June 2026, representatives of TH Rosenheim attended the International Internship and Placement Conference (IIC) in Madrid. Participation was made possible through the DAAD-funded GlobalIntern+ project, which supports the internationalisation of higher education and promotes international internship opportunities for students.
The conference brought together universities, companies and organisations from around the world to discuss current developments in international internships, student employability and global mobility. The programme included company visits, workshops, expert discussions and presentations of recent research findings in the field.
A key objective of TH Rosenheim's participation was to identify potential internship partners in Spain for students enrolled in the Bachelor's programme in International Business Studies (IBS) and to strengthen existing international networks: "International work experience is an essential element of our students' academic and professional development. The conference provided an excellent opportunity to connect with new companies and explore additional internship placements for our students in Spain" said Tatjana Erlewein of TH Rosenheim.
The contacts established and insights gained during the conference will contribute to further expanding international internship opportunities and supporting students in developing successful careers in an increasingly globalised working environment.
