From 21 to 23 January, representatives from the twelve universities of the DIVERSE European University Alliance gathered at Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK) on the Pori campus in Finland. The aim of the network meeting was to reflect on previous successes and plan the next steps for joint cooperation. The event opened with a welcome speech by SAMK President Jari Multisilta, followed by a live musical performance by the band "The Rector and the Deans", which provided a successful and unusual start to the event.
The working sessions focused on strategic topics such as micro-certificates, joint study programmes, ongoing master's programmes, communication, teaching and learning, and cooperation between working groups. Professors from the Faculty of Business Administration – Dr Carolin Fleischmann, Dr Brigitte Kölzer and Dr Stephan Hornig – also took an active part in the exchange. The programme was complemented by insights into Finnish culture, including sauna and ice swimming, which encouraged informal exchange.
We are particularly pleased to welcome the network to Rosenheim Technical University in May 2026.
