In May 2025, three excursions took place in the External Corporate Accounting module, organised by by Prof Dr Bernd Hacker. The highlight was certainly the visit to the IASB standard setter in London. The students had the opportunity to gain a first-hand impression of the work of an international body and were also able to talk to a member of the Board. In addition to the delegation from Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences, students from the University of the Free State in Bloemfontein, South Africa, Queen Mary University of London and California State University, Bakersfield, were also present. There was a lively exchange between the students from all over the world.
The students were also welcomed by BDO Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft and BMW AG in Germany. In addition to challenging specialist presentations, including one on accounting for development costs at BMW, they also had the opportunity to gain an insight into the respective companies and find out about entry-level opportunities and careers.
The students can look forward to further excursions in the course of the semester.
This shows: Business administration is an exciting and diverse field that can be experienced personally and is taught in a practical way at TH Rosenheim!
