DIVERSE Alliance: TH Rosenheim sends a strong signal in favour of European cooperation

At the end of May, Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences and eleven other European universities signed a groundbreaking Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Istanbul. With this agreement, the partners reaffirm their long-term cooperation in the DIVERSE European University Alliance, which focuses on mobility, teaching, research and innovation. Vice President Prof Dr Stephanie Kapitza signed the document on behalf of TH Rosenheim.

‘With our active role in the DIVERSE Alliance, we are not only strengthening international exchange, but also contributing our expertise to topics relevant to the future. Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences is thus positioning itself as a shaping force in a dynamic European higher education area,’ emphasises Prof Dr Stephanie Kapitza.

About the DIVERSE Alliance

DIVERSE stands for Digital and Innovative Venture Science Education for Resilient and Sustainable Entrepreneurship and brings together a total of twelve European universities. The aim of the alliance is to develop sustainable, inclusive and innovative solutions for social challenges. The focus is on practice-orientated and interdisciplinary teaching and research as well as the development of a joint, inter-university campus with flexible learning paths.

Through its work, the Alliance aims to prepare students for the challenges of the future and train professionals who will actively contribute to solving pressing European issues - including the circular economy, well-being and digital transformation.

Strengthening European Cooperation

By signing the MoU, the participating universities are sending a strong signal in favour of Europe's digital and green transformation. The DIVERSE Alliance is committed to

  • shaping future-oriented educational pathways,
  • promote practice-oriented research,
  • expand the international mobility of students and employees
  • and to intensify cooperation with companies and social stakeholders.


In doing so, it pursues a strategy that combines technology-supported innovation with the real needs of people and the goals of sustainable development.

Significance for the TH Rosenheim

Active participation in the DIVERSE Alliance opens up new opportunities for Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences to engage in international exchange and to organise joint education and research projects. Topics such as the circular economy, digital well-being and transformation are directly related to the university's strategic development priorities - particularly in the areas of social affairs, health, energy, digital teaching and lifelong learning.

The close cooperation within the alliance creates a reliable European network that offers concrete added value to students, teachers, researchers and regional partners alike.
