You can find some company contacts using the selection function under "Find work experience partners" ("Praxispartner finden"). The university does not issue lists of contact details. Not all companies like to publish their details and so there are some companies that offer dual degree programmes but which are not included in the database. In principle, you can apply to any company of your choice yourself as long as it meets the quality standards stipulated by “hochschule dual”.

In general, yes. This must be arranged and agreed with your chosen company as your course structure may change if all the required credits cannot be or have not been obtained abroad. Enquiries about foreign partner universities offering students the opportunity to complete a semester abroad should be made at an early stage at the university's International Office. Depending on the work experience partner you have chosen, work experience abroad is also possible.

Yes, the dual degree programme is noted in the Diploma Supplement if requested by the student.

The degree programmes with advanced work experience are geared towards proactive, goal-oriented prospective students who are not afraid of taking on the double burden of study and work.

Personal requirements should be: good academic grades, high degree of willingness to learn, strong staying power and effective time management.

It is possible to switch at a later stage in the case of degree programmes with advanced work experience, but this should be done at the latest by the end of the fourth semester. Students require at least 50% more work experience than normal students based on the practical semester.

Yes. In principle, holiday allowance during the degree programme with advanced work experience is based on the Federal Holiday Act (Bundesurlaubsgesetz) or relevant collective wage agreement. “hochschule dual” recommends at least ten days of holiday per year. Holiday is taken during the practical period in the semester breaks. If more days are granted as holiday than the statutory number prescribed per year, lecture-free days during the semester may be allocated as holiday.

Remuneration should initially amount to at least 80% and then from the third semester 100% of the remuneration paid for corresponding apprenticeships in the second year of training. Remuneration is compulsory at least for periods spent at the company. Many companies provide remuneration throughout (this is a matter of negotiation).

In addition to the usual admission requirements, a supplementary agreement with a partner company is required. Templates are available here.

The company and the student are responsible for the content of the agreement; the university does not check the legality of the agreements. The TH Rosenheim only monitors work experience that is set out in the study and examination regulations.

The training agreement must be submitted to the Internship Office at the university. The university will subsequently check the completion of the practical semester and approve this in writing.

The practical phases are held in the semester breaks (mid-February to mid-March as well as in August and September), in the practical semester and within the framework of the Bachelor's thesis. The study periods correspond with standard university periods. There are no extra groups or courses for students on the degree programmes with advanced work experience.
