Freemover

As soon as you have received the confirmation of a place as a free mover from a foreign university of your choice, you can inform the International Office. The International Office will then inform you via e-mail about current scholarship opportunities (PROMOS / Bavarian scholarships). In this way, you will not miss out on anything – even if you are already abroad.

In the English-speaking world, Dublin Business School or Edinburgh Napier University are examples of comparatively affordable options.

Freemover in Canada, University of British Columbia (UBC)
The Visiting International Research Student (VIRS) program provides admission to UBC for international students to conduct research full-time at UBC. While at UBC, students are able to pursue research activities under the supervision of a UBC faculty member. Further information at VIRS webpage. VIRS advisor at go.global@ubc.ca.

You will find comprehensive information about your destination in the country information provided by the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service). Particularly if you are travelling to unsafe areas, you should also consult the website of the Federal Foreign Office.
