DIVERSE European University Alliance visits Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences

50 representatives from the twelve partner universities of the DIVERSE European University Alliance visited TH Rosenheim from 11 to 13 May. The aim of the DIVERSE Alliance is to promote the international mobility of students and teaching staff, develop joint teaching modules and degree programmes, and advance international research projects.

The meeting began on Monday with a guided tour of the university’s premises and innovative laboratories. The subsequent get-together provided ample opportunity for personal discussions on current topics and projects. This once again highlighted how valuable direct exchange is for collaboration within the DIVERSE network.

On the second day, the working sessions took place at an alpine hut in the heart of the Bavarian Alps at an altitude of around 1,400 metres. Despite wintry conditions with snowfall, the working atmosphere was motivated. Numerous ideas and projects were further developed during intensive discussions. The results of the various working groups were particularly impressive: The DIVERSE network now offers three Master’s programmes, six micro-credential programmes (i.e. credit-bearing certificates or ECTS credits in compact teaching units), as well as numerous short exchange programmes (BIPs). The day concluded in sunny weather with a group hike to the summit and Bavarian specialities.

The third day of the event at the Rosenheim Campus was opened by President Prof. Dr Heinz Köster and focused in particular on the further development of internal and external communication within the partner network.

A big thank you goes to the dedicated team at the International Office, led by Prof. Dr Carolin Fleischmann, who made this excellently organised and successful meeting possible.

The next meeting of the DIVERSE European University Alliance will take place in October at Griffith College in Dublin.
