The DIVERSE European University Alliance brings together twelve universities from eleven European countries to explore new pathways for international collaboration. For TH Rosenheim, this means more exchange, more innovation, and a more tangible experience of Europe on campus. Students, faculty, and staff all benefit from joint teaching programs, research initiatives, exchange opportunities, and inspiring cross-border encounters. A full list of partner universities is available at http://www.diverse-university.eu/partners.
Highlights 2025: Exchange, Innovation, and Collaboration
International Mobility and Exchange
The year 2025 once again focused on international collaboration. In several Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs), TH Rosenheim students worked closely with partners from Finland, Belgium, and Croatia. A standout was the BIP “Organisational Happiness” in Rosenheim, where 28 students from Romania, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Malta developed strategies to enhance satisfaction in organizations – a highly topical issue.
Looking ahead, the next DIVERSE format, the Internship Bootcamp, will take place in March 2026 to prepare students for internships and the international job market. At the same time, a new internship network is growing, which will eventually be complemented by the Bavarian Job Portal and made accessible to all partner universities. Staff continue to benefit from Staff Weeks, and a highlight will be the first DIVERSE Staff Days (May 11–13, 2026) featuring a partner university fair and the inaugural International Night.
Teaching and Learning Together
The alliance is also deepening collaboration in teaching. Joint courses, digital modules, and international projects are increasingly integrated into study programs, aiming to equip students with international skills – whether they study abroad or experience global content directly at TH Rosenheim.
Since 2025, the university has participated in two new Erasmus Mundus Master’s programs: Technology in Rehabilitation Management (with SAMK, Finland) and International Business and Geopolitics (with seven DIVERSE partners and universities in Canada, the USA, and China).
In parallel, joint micro-credential programs are being developed – digital learning modules recognized across Europe and directly integrated into study programs. The Interoperability Pilot provides the technical foundation for easier comparison and recognition of competencies and modules – a key step toward cross-border integration of study content.
International Research
Three new European research projects launched in 2025 within DIVERSE: HER TECH, GT4T, and GreenScope, involving five TH Rosenheim faculties (BW, ING, INF, CB, HTB). Researchers from nearly all faculties are also actively involved in thematic working groups or in preparing new third-party funding proposals.
GreenTech4Transformation (GT4T) exemplifies how the DIVERSE alliance positions universities as engines of sustainable, innovation-driven development. Students, researchers, and entrepreneurs are jointly developing solutions for the circular economy, energy transition, and digital transformation in an inclusive ecosystem.
Additionally, a Research Management & Administration (RMA) track is being prepared to further strengthen international networking and competence development in research management.
Recognition at the European Level
In October 2025, DIVERSE was officially listed on the European Commission’s website as a European University Alliance – a strong signal of successful collaboration and an important step toward a permanent, Europe-wide university network.
Prof. Dr. Carolin Fleischmann, Academic Director of the International Office, emphasizes:
"DIVERSE demonstrates how European collaboration can enrich research, teaching, and mobility. For us at TH Rosenheim, the alliance is a true added value – both professionally and personally."
