A week full of teamwork, future plans and international exchange: from 23 to 27 March, Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences hosted the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) “Internship Bootcamp”. A total of 41 students from five partner universities within the DIVERSE European University Alliance took part – having prepared through two online sessions before meeting on campus.
The goal? To become truly internship-ready. Through hands-on workshops, participants developed their CVs and cover letters, explored networking strategies, practised salary negotiations, and faced realistic mock interviews. Also they created a personal Ikigai, helping students reflect on their strengths, values and career goals.
Of course, it wasn’t all work. The social programme included traditional Bavarian food, and during an escape room challenge, every team successfully demonstrated collaboration and problem-solving skills.
The value of such international experiences was also highlighted by participants: Nesibeh Hedayati, lecturer at SAMK (Finland), noted that programmes like this foster collaboration, international exchange and personal growth in a particularly natural and effective way.
From the organisers’ perspective, the conclusion is clear. Tatjana Erlewein of Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences emphasises: “Student feedback is incredibly valuable to us – and it is precisely this feedback that has led us to plan a second edition of the Internship Bootcamp.”
The next edition is planned to take place at one of the partner universities – with Uneatlantico (Spain), SAMK (Finland), or Algebra Bernays University (Croatia) currently under consideration. The final destination remains to be seen.
One thing, however, is certain: this bootcamp was just the beginning.
