Student Card

You can use the card to make cashless payments, e.g. in the canteen, cafeteria, at snack vending machines, printers and photocopiers, provided that your student card has sufficient credit.

There are card top-up machines at the various locations. At Campus Rosenheim, you will find them in the entrance area of the canteen (cash) and in the foyer of the S building (cash).
You also have the option of registering with the student union Studierendenwerk Münschen Oberbayern and applying for the so-called Autoload.

• Checking your credit: Simply hold your contactless Student Card up to the reader. Your current credit balance will be shown on the display, e.g. at snack vending machines.
• Top up your credit: Hold your card up to the reader, check your credit balance, top up your card (at the Rosenheim campus, this is only possible with banknotes (€5, €10, €20 or €50). The top-up takes a few seconds, after which the new credit balance is displayed.

The Student Card allows you to use the media resources of the university library in accordance with the applicable terms of use (borrowing, renewals).
It also serves as a means of payment in the library. Your library number can be found on the front in the upper left corner.

With the Student Card, you can pay for copies and scans on the appropriate university devices.

Please note:

• Before removing the card from the device, it is essential to tap the ‘Logout’ button at the top right of the display!
• If the card is removed before this step, there will be no credit left on it. You will then no longer be able to pay in the canteen, for example. In this case, you must place the card on the reader again to get your remaining credit back.

The Student Card allows you to access laboratories and measurement rooms outside of opening hours if they are required for bachelor's, master's or student research projects.
The contact person for the relevant access authorisation is Mr Peter Lechner from Facility Management at Campus Rosenheim.

• Student cards are valid for payment transactions for four years from the date of issue. After this period, they can still be used for 120 days. During this time, a corresponding message will appear for all payment transactions.
• After this period, the student card can no longer be used for payment transactions.

• Do not bend, scratch or punch holes in the card.
• Keep away from intense heat and magnetic fields (e.g. airport security checks).
• Do not store together with other chip cards (e.g. ski lift passes).
• It is best to transport the card in a protective sleeve.

• Report immediately to the Student Administration (B 1.24) and have your card blocked at the library.
• The credit balance cannot be blocked.
• Replacement card: €15.00 fee.
• Application for a replacement Student Card

• Payment by the Student Services Association (A 3.03). The card will be confiscated.
