Are you beginning your studies at TH Rosenheim in the winter semester 2026? Then the Orientation Week is just right for you!
From 23 to 29 September 2026, you can look forward to a varied programme including useful information, workshops, and the opportunity to connect with other international students.
Programme
Please note: The programme is subject to change. There is no guarantee that individual sessions will take place as planned.
The content of the Welcome Sessions is the same in each session—simply choose the time that suits you best.
Note on City Tour & Library Services:
The Rosenheim city tour and the library services introduction take place on the same day and partially overlap. Therefore, you can only attend one of these sessions per day – either the library introduction or the city tour, but not both.

- 13:00 - 14:00 Workshop Everyday Life in Germany - room A 5.10

- 15:45 - 16:45 Workshop Introduction to Library Services - room A 5.10

For Late Arrivals and those who are not yet in Germany:
- 09:30 - 12:00 Workshop Introduction to German Language and Culture ONLINE
- Trip to Herrenchiemsee Castle: A small fee applies!
Itinerary:
- 10:15 – Meeting at Rosenheim train station
- 10:35–10:51 – Train from Rosenheim to Prien am Chiemsee
- 10:51–11:20 – Walk from Prien station to Prien/Stock harbour
- 11:30 – Ferry from Prien/Stock to Herreninsel
- approx. 12:15 – Arrival at Herreninsel
- 12:15–14:45 – Free time: lunch break, visit the Ludwig II Museum and the Augustinian Monastery, or explore the island
--> Please make sure to arrive at the New Palace by 14:45. The walk from the pier to the New Palace takes approximately 20 minutes.
- 14:45 – Meeting point at the New Palace
- 15:10–16:10 – Guided tour of the New Palace
- from 16:10 – Free time on Herreninsel

Registration
The workshops during Orientation Week are free to join, but places are limited! For the trip to Herrenchiemsee Castle on Saturday, 26 September, a small fee of €7 will apply.
All workshops are fully booked. Unfortunately, we can no longer accept any registrations.
Attendance at workshops is binding. If you are unable to attend, please be sure to cancel in good time by email.
