Dominik Hüttemann began his career in research and development through his master's thesis on material flow analysis within the ONEforest project. Since late 2022, he has been working as a research assistant.
Within the ISAR research project, his role focuses on the material recovery of waste wood.
As a project researcher, he specializes in process chain and value chain analyses of the logistics, shredding, and sorting of different waste wood grades, as well as their potential applications. He also investigates the technical and product-specific requirements for waste wood fractions in various applications.
Together with his colleagues, he develops and validates processing concepts for waste wood utilization pathways, actively contributes to the participatory development of different utilization pathways in collaboration with research and industry partners, and works on the development and validation of corresponding business models.
