How is a scientific paper structured? What should I keep in mind when citing? And does it really matter where my figures are placed in the text?

The first major scientific paper is often accompanied by many questions, and there are often rules and conventions of which you may not even be aware. In this short crash course, we aim to answer the most important questions about creating a scientific paper. The focus is on structure and formatting, as well as the infamous "scientific style" – and what that actually means. The workshop is particularly aimed at students seeking a brief introduction to the topic of academic writing, without too much fuss and with a few handy tips and tricks.
