Complaints Committee for sexual discrimination
There is no place for sexual discrimination and violence at our university!
Unfortunately, sexual assaults, sexual discrimination and violence do not stop outside the gates of institutions like universities. This makes it even more vital that we do everything in our power to prevent this and raise awareness of the subject.
Within its area of responsibility, Rosenheim Technical University is committed to ensuring the human right to protection from sexual discrimination and violence is granted and respected. Its aim is to facilitate gender-equal, respectful, trusting and non-discriminatory interaction between all members of the TH Rosenheim.
What do I do if I am personally affected by this?
If you have experienced sexual discrimination or violence, you can contact the various counselling services within or linked to the TH Rosenheim network.
You will then have the opportunity to contact a member of the Complaints Commission of your choice for an initial consultation. During this consultation, you can explain your concerns to us. We will outline various options for action and inform you about the possibility of lodging a complaint with the Complaints Commission. It is entirely up to you whether to stop at the initial consultation or whether you wish to take further steps afterwards.
Members of the Complaints Committee are required to maintain the strictest confidence. The consultation is confidential and it may also be conducted anonymously.
Contact us, we are here for you!

Experiences of sexual discrimination often lead to feelings of shame among those affected. This can also prevent them from seeking help. The staff at the help center will listen to you and provide confidential counseling. You decide how to proceed. Take advantage of the safe environment offered by our help center and don’t face your experiences alone.

As part of my work in the Student Advisory Office at TH Rosenheim, I am always available to listen to any concerns those seeking advice may have. Those affected by sexual discrimination can also share their feelings, fears, and concerns related to their experiences here. Often, simply having a clarifying conversation in a safe space is enough to bring relief. Sometimes, more support is needed. I would like to encourage you to take advantage of this service if needed!
Here at the TH Rosenheim, I like working with a wide variety of people as a laboratory technician. To help those doing internships and research, I am happy to actively contribute my experience. In addition to looking after the technical equipment, I am also available to listen to others, especially when there's a spanner in the works. My motto is "solve it - there's no such thing as impossible", and I also want to be available on a basis of trust here too. There's usually immediate relief after the initial contact.

"Getting help" sounds so obvious, but is often associated with a lot of overcoming, excitement and also fear. Our own fears and insecurities often keep us from taking this step. "Is what I have experienced already enough to be allowed to get help?", "What can I expect if I tell about it? Will I be believed?" "What happens next?". These are just a few of the doubts that often stand between sufferers and counseling. Therefore, I would like to encourage you not to let them hold you back. Have the courage, I will welcome you with an open ear as your first point of contact. Together we will find out what you need and what next steps can be. You determine your path and the pace.

As someone outside the university who is nevertheless closely connected to the university environment and in regular contact with students, I offer an independent and accessible space for discussion. As I am not part of the university’s organisational structures, this creates a setting in which issues can often be raised more easily. Particularly when it comes to personal, sensitive or as yet unspoken concerns, it can be helpful to first talk to someone outside the institutional framework. Here, thoughts, questions and challenges can be given space without the worry that they will immediately become part of a formal system or process.

As a lawyer, my job not only involves solving legal matters but I also have a great deal of experience with interpersonal conflicts, especially as a former personnel officer and trained mediator. It is therefore very important to me to listen to you attentively and explore various paths at your disposal – one of which is lodging a complaint with the Complaints Committee. In doing so, I would like to support you on a basis of trust – anonymity is absolutely guaranteed, if desired.
