In Germany Universities of Applied Sciences are not generally allowed to grant doctoral titles. However, Rosenheim Technical University of Applied Sciences supports the initiation and execution of PhD projects in cooperation with national and international universities, who award the PhD title. A PhD project is thus supervised by a professor from THRO and the collaborating university.
A PhD project takes at least three years (in many cases longer). There are two ways of acquiring a PhD project: One way is to apply for vacant positions that are being advertised and the other is to find a suitible advisor and initiate an own PhD project.
