Modern life would be impossible without the technological advantages and innovations presented by engineering. That’s why internationally trained engineers are much sought-after in Germany. As a University of Applied Sciences, TH Rosenheim qualifies both German and international students. We are further developing the internationalisation of our studies with a main focus on the Bachelor's degree as entry into a professional career as an engineer. The new degree programme International Bachelor of Engineering at each Campus Rosenheim and Campus Burghausen specifically aims at young internationals interested in a broad range of engineering subjects. Your degree programme is divided into two parts: basic studies (taught in English) lasting three semesters with a common first semester, and main studies (taught in German) from the fourth semester onwards.

The participating faculties at each campus will offer a low-entry study model and flexible choice of the right degree programme even after the start of your studies. After the common first semester in Rosenheim or Burghausen, you will choose from one of the 9 specialisations similar to the Engineering Bachelor's degree programmes offered at either campus:
This is made possible by a basic course of study in mainly English language. During the first three semesters, you will acquire German language skills as well, starting with level A2 of CEFR. This will enable you to seamlessly change into the German-taught main study course after the third semester, in which you will be studying alongside German students.
Through various practically relevant projects, you will deepen your theoretical knowledge and learn how to apply it in practice. Since Universities of Applied Sciences have a very hands-on approach to studying, the International Bachelor of Engineering includes a compulsory practical semester in which all students gain professional experience during an internship at a regional company. Close ties to many companies in one of Germany's strongest economic regions allow for a practice-oriented study programme on the spot. We aim at connecting you with the industry at an early stage so you will be able to gain first-hand experience as easily and as quickly as possible. After graduation, you will have acquired the very best practical engineering knowledge, international key qualifications and you will be proficient in both German and English.
Last but not least, the cities of Rosenheim and Burghausen are not only located in close proximity to urban Munich but are surrounded by beautiful lakes based at the foothills of the Alps, offering various leisure activities.
